Office-Based Anesthesia

Office based anesthesia is becoming increasing popular and it’s no wonder why. Performing procedures in the office allows the physician to stay in his/her own office throughout the day. There is no “downtime” as in the hospital or ASC setting. In the office setting, when not performing a procedure, the physician can attend to other matters whether clinical or administrative. In addition, patient satisfaction is increased with office based procedures. Instead of going to a different location which is not familiar, the patient can go to his regular office. Frequently, a patient having a procedure performed in the office setting will go home in the fraction of the time he would have at a surgery center or hospital.

Dentistry

Going to the dentist can be a very anxiety provoking experience for many patients. Synergy Anesthesia has experience in providing anesthesia for patients undergoing all types of dental procedures from basic cleanings to more complex procedures. We understand that surgery in the airway presents a unique set of challenges and all of our physicians are trained to provide anesthesia in the safest and most efficient manner. Providing anesthesia for your dental office will increase patient satisfaction and allow you to perform procedures more quickly and efficiently.

Chiropractic

The need for anesthesia services for chiropractors continues to grow, particularly with the increased use of chiropractic Manipulation Under Anesthesia (MUA). While MUAs have typically been done in the hospital or ambulatory surgery center settings, they can also be done safely and quickly in an office setting. This saves the patient and the chiropractor the unnecessary trip to a different location. The end result is higher patient satisfaction and improved efficiency for the chiropractor.

Urology

A wide variety of urologic cases can be done in the office setting. Cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and more complex prostate procedures can all be safely performed in the office. Synergy Anesthesia has a large amount of experience in all of these types of procedures and can help increase urologic office efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Gynecologists

An increasing number of gynecologic procedures are being done in the office setting. All types of uterine and vaginal procedures can now be performed under either sedation or general anesthesia. Doing these procedures in the office increases patient and surgeon satisfaction and improves overall efficiency.

Podiatry

Podiatry cases are some of the most common procedures performed in the office setting. Because analgesia can easily be achieved on the foot either by local anesthetic infiltration or a regional nerve block (such as an ankle block) most podiatry cases can be done with IV sedation. Synergy Anesthesia anesthesiologists are trained in administering all types or regional nerve blocks and can administer these blocks to increase efficiency for the podiatrist.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has been performed in the office setting for many years and is continuing to gain popularity. This is to be expected due to the added convenience for both the patient and the surgeon. Many types of plastic surgeries can be safely performed under IV sedation. Those that require general anesthesia can also be safely performed in the office setting given the proper equipment. Synergy Anesthesia has experience in all types of plastic surgery in a variety of settings including the office. In addition, we can provide the necessary equipment and supplies needed to provide any type of anesthesia.

Mobile Anesthesia Services

Synergy Anesthesia is able to supply offices with any and all of the anesthesia supplies and equipment required. This includes medications, IV supplies, airway equipment, monitors, and emergency supplies. In addition, Synergy Anesthesia has the capability to provide safe and efficient general anesthesia (including providing all supplies and equipment) that is completely adherent to all regulatory bodies, such as AAAHC and AAAASF. We have the ability to be completely mobile so that a room which is used primarily for other purposes can be safely and easily converted into a temporary procedure room for surgical procedures. For something more permanent, Synergy Anesthesia can help set up a more definitive procedure room adherent to all regulatory guidelines.
